A rather spry and rhythmic Jackson can be seen in this CNN video rehearsing for his upcoming Memorial Show at the LA Forum. He looked good, ready to be Michael again. I did cringe a bit at the thought of losing him just as he was getting ready to do what he loved and was so good at doing. Although I see the horrible tact of making money off a memorial show I also see the business folks (AEG) who probably put up millions of dollars for this show and need to recoup their investment. It can't be cheap to rent the Los Angeles Forum multiple times for rehearsals, plus, AEG has probably got two warehouses filled with Jackson shirts and mugs. Tacky: yes. Understanadable: yes. Imagine if you had sunk millions into a guy who could easily make the money back unless he was dead, then the guy dies. What would you do? I'd run all those t-shirts through the printing machine adding the line '1958-2009' to everything then I'd put on a special memorial show and try to get my millions back. As a fan, I'm not much of a memorial concert goer. I much prefer to spend countless hours in front of the mansion where he lived dressed like him and trying to be seen crying on CNN behind a reporter, but that's just me. Unfortunately this world is driven by the mighty dollar and the bottom line, not warm fuzzies or classy moves, just ask the Republicans. Like they said in Jerry Maguire: "It's not show friends, it's show business" And so to AEG, get your money back, give the people a good show and may LaToya's tears heal the world.
